The rally was held in protest at the recent atrocities committed by the occupation regime in the Gaza Strip.

The demonstrators raised the Palestinian flag and called on Rabat to stop its normalization of ties with the Tel Aviv regime, Arabi21 website reported.

Those taking part in the demonstration, dubbed “Morocco’s Imitative for Support and Help”, included supporters of the Tawheed and Reform Movement, which is part of the Justice and Development Party.

The head of the movement in a speech said the Israeli bombing of the homes of Palestinian women, children and elderly is a war crime.

He said people have gathered in the rally to call for an end to all normalization deals.

On Wednesday, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned the Israeli regime's carnage of civilians in the besieged Gaza Strip as “unacceptable”.

According to Farhan Haq, the UN chief's deputy spokesperson, Guterres urged the occupying regime to "immediately" stop the bloodshed.

“Israel must abide by its obligations under international humanitarian law, including the proportionate use of force and taking all feasible precautions to spare civilians and civilian objects in the conduct of military operations,” noted the spokesman.

Haq also denounced the regime's concomitant closure of Gaza's border crossings, which prevented the entry of foodstuff, medical supplies, and fuel into the besieged coastal territory.
